For UK travellers this winter, summer sun is perhaps out of the question as the snow grinds air travel to a halt. Looking for Romantic breaks in this country can be tricky on a budget during the Christmas period but there are a few hidden gems out there to be found. The New Forest offers stunning scenery in the snow, with weather hardy ponies and old English pubs, there couldn’t be a more beautiful place to spend a few days with a loved one. Staying in bed and breakfasts is the way to go, with small cottages in the garden of beautiful houses there is still the opportunity for privacy for courting couples. Long Romantic walks are always on offer, usually ending at a pub, where you’ll find friendly faces, roaring fires, good food and a hot mulled wine.
