What to do this weekend? Tired of the sun, beaches and transparent sea? It is time to discover Brussels!
This 1000 year old capital is full of places for all tastes. Due to its culture, architecture, nightlife and warm hospitality of its inhabitants, Brussels is a step not to miss in a trip to Europe.
Here is a small selection of nice places that might be of interest.
You can start by visiting the main square (Grand Place), very pleasant especially in the morning light. And since you’re nearby, try the Museum of the City of Brussels, go to the last floor, there are all the costumes of Manneken Pis, a must see!
It’s time to eat, and taste the most famous dish of Belgium, French Fries! Go to Chez Antoine, Place Jourdan, they are excellent and you can have a beer Chez Bernard with your French fries.
Sick of being locked up? Take a stroll in the Saint-Jacques 2 steps from the main square. Beyond being THE most beautiful part of the old city, the crossing point house is mandatory for all staying in Brussels, the Manneken Pis!
Night falls, it’s time for a taste of local specialties, beer! To do this, go to Delirium in the district of Matongue. Good specialties and a wide choice of local drinks that will put you in the perfect mood for the evening coming.
“Where to go?” ask your friends. Stay humble, you are the guide of the party tonight! Eating and drunking comes easily in the place to be in Brussels today, the Fuse in the Marolles district (very popular area of Brussels).
